after almost two weeks of uninterrupted gains and improvements, i had the worst workout this evening. sure, i should have eaten more over the past couple of days... and maybe planning to do an ambitious cardio-weights day after my best 10k this season was a little optimistic, but i'm tired of my body's weakness, because it reminds me of how my spirit was weak.
i have to take time off now to recuperate and relax... maybe tomorrow, so i can resume (meaning repeat) today's workout thursday.
the worst part of getting back into shape is having to go back and repeat all the little milestones you've already had to conquer all over again. i'm making this promise to myself - this is the last time that i let this happen to myself where i have to slog through boot-camp just to get my base training levels back up. hrummmph...
on the upside, i've gained back about 6 pounds. for most people in north america, that would not be a point of pride :)
